DIY Travel: Masasa beach

The recent long weekend, my family and I decided to enjoy and unwind and looked for a quick getaway near manila and after so many searches we have decided to go to Panglao, Pangasinan but all accommodations were fully booked and that's how we end up at Masasa Beach, Tingloy Batangas.

We were expecting that the beach will be crowded but it wasn't. And this was the first time I would do DIY with family.

HOW TO GET THERE:
1. From Manila Go to Anilao Port (We use Waze) Travel time: 3-4hrs
There were also buses at Taft and Cubao bound to Anilao Port
2. At Anilao port, Parkings are available at Php 100.00-Php 150.00 (Make sure to go as early as 6am especially on weekends for a lot of people park their car in there)
3. There is a public market at Anilao port and you have to buy supplies and food there.
4. From Anilao port, there is a oat terminal going to Tingloy/Masasa beach. You need to pay Php30.00 environmental fee and P100.00 for the boat fee Travel time: 45mins
5. Choose your accomodations but there were a lot transient house available there even if you haven't book any.

We stayed at Ate Mariz Perez transient house for Php 300.00/head for 2 days and a night. They also cooked fo us :)
At afternoon, we go to the Masasa beach which is 5 mins away from our accommodation. You can ride  tricycle or  boat going to Masasa beach but definitely you can walk too.

You can also bring your tent at the beach for free.

The sand is really fine white and the water is crystal clear.
Even my nephew enjoys it a lot.

The next day, we were offered an island hopping and snorkling and it was surprisingly for Php100.00/head only!!! and it was really worth it.

We also went to Tagaytay as we go home to eat the famous Bulalo at Mahogany Market.
This coffee is also for free! with unlimited refill

Overall, if you are looking for a quick getaway, I would recommend Masasa Beach. it was worth it and you can go there even if you are alone :) Are you planning to visit Masasa too?
